The Process: All prep work is completed and the site is ready for concrete. The concrete is delivered to site. The colour will either have already been put in the mix, or it may be "throwen on" and "trowelled in" as it is being placed. Each techniqe has its own benefits and depending on the siteuation e.g. weather or type of colour product being used one technique maybe better suited than another. *Please note that the throw on method can often leave a dusting of residue around the site. We will wash down at the end of the job, however if you are concerned about this process, please discuss with us.
The concrete is finished with a light broom and/or trowel. After this stage once the concrete has partially cured, decorative cutting can be done. Lines can then be grouted using grout colour of your choice. Finally the finish can be sealed. Anti-slip additive may need to be added If the area is intended for high foot traffic or around a pool. It is important to note that Anti slip additive is not "invisible". Althought the grains are often semi-transparent, you will see it. |
